The full moon glistened off the still waters of Lake Charm as a slight chill filled the air. It was the perfect night for Nadine and her brood. The isolated loation of their double-wide trailer by the lake offered complete protection from prying eyes.
"Help me get him down to the boat, Freddy! Don't just stand there like a dumb ass; pick him up!" Nadine ordered her thirteen-year-old grandson, who stood watching his mother and grandmother do all the work from the door of the trailer. Freddy, dressed in dirty jeans and a Tampa Bay Bucs' T-shirt, looked bwildered ad confused. He was evalated with an I.Q. of seventy-four.
When Hank came back, Nadine had to protect her grandson and daughter she had promised them she would. Freddy wondered who his daddy was, and Nadine thought it best to tell him the truth when he was old enough to understand. For now, she told him his daddy was a bad man and lived far away, locked up in jail. He would never be back to hurt them again. However, the early release program brought him back,changing everything.
