Garrett Anthony Brunson, better known as Tony to family and friends, arrived late to the Millview hotel. The first delay from South America was in Miami.
Then he missed his connection to Chicago. Now he was stuck overnight, when all he wanted was to see the sun shining in Atlanta. Tomorrow, after his meeting, he’d head home and get rid of the stench from this last dig.
Dealing with poorly trained students, mountains of government paperwork, and corrupt officials left a bad taste in his mouth.
If it weren’t for a private discovery he’d made on one of his solitary forays into the forest, he’d quit supervising digs for the Archaeological Institute. Never had he been so excited to step on American soil. In his mind, the trip had been a bust with one exception.
As a first class passenger, with liquor flowing free, he quietly celebrated his recent find. His blurred vision and unsteady movements told their own tales. Consequently, he arrived at the hotel smashed, an unusual occurrence for him.
Normally, he maintained a tight rein at all times. He had seen enough in his family and with some of his friends to realize things came back to haunt you when you lost control.
Tony weaved to the hotel counter, rubbing his forehead. He was glad to put the day behind him. The clerk in front of him appeared to be speaking.
“Here you are, Mr. Brunson. I hope you enjoy your stay with us.” Tony nodded his thanks as he took his card envelope.
“Sure...Sure, where’s the elevator?” He tried to read the small print on the door key envelope.
“You’re in room 626, the elevator is to your left, then straight up the hall. Uh… do you require assistance, sir?”
“No and thanks...g’night.”His stomach pitched. The bitter taste of liquor coated the back of his throat.
He coughed.
Realization smacked him that he had drunk more than wise as the elevator weaved back and forth. He thought he heard a slight chuckle coming from the clerk’s direction, but it took too much effort to deal with the smart ass.
The wall wavered in front of him. His finger missed the call button. Tony stuck out his hand to stop the wall from moving. Placing his other hand on the door, he stabilized himself while pushing the button with the up arrow. As the door opened, he slung himself inside holding onto the wall. A few seconds later, he could see the panel clearly and pushed the button to the sixth floor.
Afterwards, he congratulated himself on his accomplishment, amazed at the amount of effort it took to complete such a small task. Shuffling off the elevator, he stumbled.
Glancing up, he noted the sign pointing to the direction to his room. He adjusted his garment bag on his shoulder and wobbled down the hall towards his bed.
After a few tries, he opened the door, flipped on the light in the living room of the suite and locked the door. Dropping his bags, he moved at a moderate pace to the bathroom. His bladder demanded immediate release. Standing over the toilet, he closed his eyes and tried to count how many beers and shots he’d had. With his mind so fuzzy, he couldn’t think clearly.
He dropped his pants and boxers to the floor, stepped out and over them. Since the light from the living room filtered in, he decided against turning on the bathroom light. Fortunately, he had the presence of mind to take out his contacts in the airport.
Fumbling in his pocket, he found the container and set it on the counter along with his watch.
He turned, scratched his chest, and then stripped off his shirt and socks along the way to the bed. The light from the living room annoyed him. He closed the bedroom door before dropping into the bed.
He dreamed.
The angel moved fluidly, skin smooth as silk. Her body twisted and turned seductively, a siren’s dance. Her long hair wrapped around her full breasts, nipples hard as diamonds.
Her hands beckoned to be full of his hardness, she lured the unsuspecting, calling her lover closer. Strong smooth legs rubbed across his stomach, imprisoning him in her warmth. Fingers and palm wrapped around his extended rod, stroking him to the brink of madness.
