This was my first time seeing palm trees up close. The light tan bark trailing to long green branches look like an exotic flower on a tree. And the wind that goes through the palm branches is a sight to see. There’s even a sound that’s made with every gust of wind, like a small waterfall. When the wind hits the branches, it makes a chhhhh sound.
In my opinion, palm trees are the most beautiful trees on Earth, especially in front of a clear sunset. I never really knew what serenity meant until I saw my very first sunset in Florida! After the sun set and the night sky emerged, I had a thought cross my mind.
“There is no place like home!” And this was my home! This is where I wanted to be, man! This! This place!
