A True Romantic Suspense
When Pepper newest patient belongs to her childhood friend's brother, suddenly she's remembering how the three of them used to be. She's still attracted to Roddy, but she's seeing someone, so it's not meant to be. Or is it? It could be if the person waiting in the shadows, sending her crimson roses and threatening notes, decides to leave her alone and move forward with her life.
Wow, Crimson Roses is one entertaining story. It's a true romantic suspense with the suspense and the romance taking equal partnership in importance. I loved Pepper and Roddy together, and the secondary cast is just as fabulous as the leads. I had no idea crimson roses meant something so unpleasant, or that they are used for funerals, and after reading this story, I am even more glad that I don't even like that shade of roses!

Just wow…edge of your seat pager turner. Always guessing or trying to of who/what will happen next. Pepper is a vet and loves what she does, but her past is coming back to hunt her …. you see she was kidnapped and like any normal person still lives with the scars. However, one day the brother (Rodney a criminal attorney) of a former high school friend brings his cat into her office and he has had a thing for her since high school. Unrelated or so it seems events begin to come together to form on single thread as you read on….after Peppers boyfriend is murdered the three of them Rodney, his sister Kris and Pepper start to actually unravel the clues and events to try and prevent any more killings. I really liked how these authors were able to give the reader a story line that brings it all together in the end.

Pepper Chan has just buried her father, her last living relative and is one of the owners of the Veterinary clinic that she works in.

Once the noise dies down she realizes that someone sent her crimson roses and a note saying sorry for your loss the day before he was killed, and she had received similar flowers the Monsignor before her father died.
At the same time she reconnects with her old friend Kris and her brother Roddy, who is a criminal lawyer.
Together with Kris, who is a private investigator, they start looking into the deaths trying to find a link. In a panic Pepper pushes Roddy away from her.
Can they be reunited before anything else occurs?
This book kept me guessing and I really didn't see the villain until the very end.
