During my travels, I often find gems of information. I am history buff and love the vintage stuff. During my last year's travels through Europe, I came upon a treasure trove of photographs dating back to the early Ukrainian 1930s. 

The photos showed the typical Russian Ukrainian way of life before their independence. Not all the photographs were well preserved, yet I was able to salvage many from the spoils of time.

For those that do not know Ukrainian history, I have added a short section to help you understand how the country came to be. I also provide the factual steps that led Ukraine into the powerful Russian Empire. 

It is this history that has shaped the lives and culture of Ukraine. You will be immerse in their lifestyle through picture.

My favorite photo in this collection is one of a Ukrainian solider fighting on the Russian side. He is adorn with his medals of honor and sends the very photograph you will see in this book to his wife while fighting on the front line against the Nazi Regime. 

The following Vintage Photographs are authentic and come from a collection discovered in 2011. Nothing has been altered; the photographs are displayed in their original state. They represent the time and era from the 1930s to the 1980s. All photographs are prior to Ukraine’s independence from Soviet Russia.
