And Kimberly is one such amazing writer. She skilfully and empathetically carries her audience on an emotional roller coaster ride that quite literally leaves oneself absolutely breathless and educated all at the same time.

Lucky enough to study literature through many thousands of years, comparably, it has been a similar thrill to read and enjoy Kimberly’s writing. She easily compares with humanity’s most masterful writers throughout the ages with her powerfully unique, yet carefully nurturing style. Her amazing creativity is beyond comparison.

In my opinion her writing style reflects the future of writing for us; she’s clever, concise, never overly sentimental or annoyingly over indulgent. She takes us on a journey that is at once, troubling, tearful, empathetic, empowering, and often, side splittingly hilarious, all the while exposing the details of her life beyond what any typical writer, let alone human, would ever do.

I would heartily recommend her books of poetry to anyone, and don’t be fooled by her samples here on Smashwords, her depth and diversity far surpass what those samples would narrowly convey.

What a journey? Touching, thought provoking, poignant yet inspirational. Try as a might, I cannot select just one poem as my personal favourite, not when the standard is this high. I have been able to narrow the list down to four, however. Finding the perfect words, another yesterday, your ego has no halo and pulling the trigger. Unnecessary poetry is a truly beautiful collection and I get the feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more from this very talented newcomer.
