In this collection, I’ve chosen to include stories from my personal experiences living in Mali, my life with family and friends, my teaching career, travel experiences, and living in Mexico. Most, but not all, are lighthearted.

Box of Chocolates
Because the cultures from Mali to Mexico and points in between are in many ways different from ours, it is a treat to gain insights about them from an author who has been there. Most of the stories are told with a touch of humour, while the few that are more serious will leave you thinking about them long after you put the book down.
This is the perfect book for reading in bed or when you can take a break. Mali to Mexico provides short, yet highly entertaining snippets of life and experiences in these countries. Read one or two and save the next short story for another time. Be warned though: Like a box of chocolates, you’ll be wanting to pick it up again soon to savour another one.
