I don't suppose any of us will ever understand 'why'. Tragedies, loss and meanness don't make sense.
As far as 'why not', now that, I understand a bit better. Time does heal. Time does help us make the best we can out of what has happened. And sometimes, things can turn out even better than we ever imagined...'why not'?
I have met some remarkable individuals, who have left an imprint on my heart. Each has been a teacher of valuable life lessons along my journey to date.
In very unique ways, each of these inspirational people went out of their way to be kind to me. They will always mean the world to me...each a pearl of the rarest beauty.

Vulnerability
No reason,
Logic lost,
Mind games.
No rhyme,
He hurt,
I bled.
All wrong,
She died,
I cried.
Flew away,
To safety,
You cared.
Long road,
Blind faith,
Mistakes made.
Older now,
Scars still,
Healed peace.
