Kayla faces a lot of accusations as she tries to get someone to help her find her baby, but the police think she killed her own child. Kayla is a wonderful character. Her actions and decisions are easy to relate to even though most of us can't even fathom the pain she is dealing with.

Luke is a homicide detective that meets Kayla under unusual circumstances and can't resist assisting her. As more and more people turn up dead, Luke is worried for Kayla's safety. As Luke starts developing feelings for Kayla, her safety becomes his number one priority even though he knows that until he finds her baby there is no future for the two of them. Luke is a thoughtful man that is willing to do just about anything to get the job done.

Find My Baby is highly recommended for being unique, well written, and a story that is nearly impossible to put down. Kayla's lover for her newborn son will tug at your heart strings as she fights everyone around her and struggles to remain calm enough to find him and get him back. With enough romance to make you swoon and emotional turmoil that will take you on a roller coaster ride, Find My Baby is a must read.

Who in the world kidnaps a pregnant woman, Kayla, imprisons her till the baby is born, keeps her alive for a couple more months so she can breastfeed her son, Sam, then takes Sam away and tries to kill Kayla?

When Kayla manages to escape her captors and go to the police, they won’t believe her and leap to the conclusion that she must have killed Sam. The only people who believe her are her aunt, and Luke, himself a cop.

There are no clues, no ransom demand, no way to find the people who kidnapped her, because everyone they manage to track down ends up dead before they can be interrogated.

Find My Baby is a rip roaring good mystery, with a surprising twist at the end that I didn’t expect. I actually expected to find out that David, Kayla’s dead husband, wasn’t actually dead, and wanted the baby, even after he wanted her to get an abortion when he found out she was pregnant, but I was wrong.

Anyway, along the way, Luke and Kayla fall in love, and Luke is sure that when they finally find Sam, he will love the boy as much as he loves the mother. I loved the plot and characters, loved the mystery, and Bridges is now one of my new favorites.
