Cades Cove Romance-A Beautiful Christian Romance with Healing Power of its Own
Out of the books I've read by this author, this one was my favorite, though I enjoyed them all. I love the setting for this novel and just returned from a vacation in Tennessee. We visited Cades Cove as we do each time we make the trip. I love it, and it was fun reading about it in the book. I've taken pictures of the places described, and I've seen the buildings and wildlife. If you have never visited Cades Cove, I think you'll want to after reading this book. Besides the awesome setting, the romance between Carrie and Neil was beautiful and realistic. I didn't care for the very beginning of the book, but I'm glad I kept reading. At first I thought I'd bought one I wouldn't enjoy, but that wasn't the case. Soon I was engrossed. The description in this Christian romance is vivid. I could just see the mountains and felt like I was riding down the Loop Road again. A beautiful love story of two people haunted by their past, two adults who thought they'd never be able to put past ghosts behind them until they met each other and with God's help, found they could live and love again. I am a retired teacher so the fact that the main character was a teacher and her handsome hero into photography and painting really made the book. I took quite a few pictures while vacationing in Tennessee, but I don't do paintings and I'm no professional. However, I still love taking pictures of God's natural beauty, and I've even hiked the Abram's trail to the waterfall described in this novel. I could envision it again with the large flat rocks and beautiful cascading water. Thank you, Ruth, for a book with such a sweet, inspiring love story, a clean one, the type I enjoy reading. I loved the ending, and it made up for the beginning. Loved the flowers, the way he proposed, their wedding in that certain setting. Don't want to spoil it for others. Great ending!

She did it again !!!!! Every time I purchase a new book of Ruthh Kyser I have high hopes, and every time my hopes are more than fulfilled. One warning, if you buy Ruth's books, you're sure you will loose some sleep over it. When you start, you want to finish. I could live in her books.
When Carrie Montgomery comes to the Smoky Mountains, it is as if you are there yourself. She spends a long summer there to overcome a very bad experience and there she meets a widow artist, Neil Johnson. They roam the mountains and discover God's healing power.
I just don't want to say more about the story. It is too good to give away. If you love romance, you're in for a treat. If you love God, you will love Him more. I would say, just buy and enjoy.
