Arley Henke finds herself trapped in a sepernatural love triangle after she and her husband purchase a mansion that was built in the early eighteen hundreds. After exploring the wonderful old house, Arley finds some journals written by Iris P., the woman who's husband built the home for her.

Arley climbed the steps to her master suite. She drew a hot bath and creawled inter her large tub. Within minutes, she coudl feel her muscles begin to relax a little. Teh tension and the terror of what she had seen in her home were already leaving her. Good. She needed to get soem rest.
Once she creawled int bed, she thought about just going to sleep. But then she grabbed the journal of Iris P. and flipped through it. She knew it wasn't a good idea to read it after her harrowing night. But she felt it calling to her, tempting her. She just had to delve into the dark recesses of the mind of Iris P.
Arley opened the journal to0 where she had left off. She began to read. "I am trapped in a world of terror and tumult. My life hasn't been the smae since the man in black came to me the first time, the man that I call Edward. He has just left me. I feel horribly violarted. He took me too his domain and desecrated me. He touched me in places that I dare not think about. His icy kisses left me cold and frightened. Yet I found myself wanting more.
He was rough, savage. It frightened me so. Terror filled my very being. I cried out over and over again. But his cold, dead eyes laughed at me. I fought to get away. But when he gazed into my eyes, the fight was gone.
He tore at my clothing and savagely entered me with his icy mangood as though he were a wild animal. The pain was so fierce that I felt as though I was going to die right then and there in his cold, uncaring arms.
I cried out again. But he laughed and laughed. I could tell that he enjoyed my pain immensely. His scorching breath covered my body; leaving me tortured and limp.
As he sunk his teeth into my throat, I could feel my blood boil. The searing pain continued for what seemed like forever, as he fed off of my life force. Terror saturated every fiber of my being. The pain was so great that I must have fainted in his arms. I could feel his cold heart pumping my blood through is veins as it drained from my lifeless body.
I was a pawn in his hands. The more he hurt me, the more I found myself wanting him. I was a whore of the night for the time that I was with him. I was his whore.
