Mary moves into a new house and discovers that a ghost named George lives. A relationship developes and she kisses him once; however he needs to be kissed again on a special day and at a special time.

Delightful YA Paranormal Romance
A beautiful, touching story about a young teenage girl, Mary, whose world is upset when her father accepts a new job that requires the family to move to a new town where Mary must establish new friendships. She meets a ghost living in her house, and they develop a deep, loving friendship that helps her through a difficult period in her life. She wonders if she will ever meet a real boy who will treat her with the kindness and love that George, the ghost, has shown her.
'I Kissed A Ghost' is an amazingly sensitive story told with tenderness.
I recommend this book to young people and to all who enjoy an unusual love story.

The two become friends and George takes her back in time to see how he lived 100 years ago. He also helps her turn the tables on her new friends at school. However, there is something Mary need to do for George and time is running out.

A Fascinating Book for Middle-Grade Girls!
I Kissed a Ghost is a fun book for girls about growing up and making friends, being accepted by them and one's first kiss. Mary has to move from her friends and community when her father gets a new job. Moving to a new home is a difficult thing to do for a girl who had friends and was just getting to know a new boy. One day Mary gets an unexpected visit from a ghost, George, in her new house. He continues to visit her every day and they become fast friends. He helps her with her homework and with meeting new friends. Kids at school tease her about her house being haunted and refuse to come into her house to play. Instead they play in her play house in the yard.
Mary is happy to finally have some friends and feels that her life is getting better for her but suddenly her friends are talking behind her back about her and her supposedly haunted house. They have been teasing her all along about her house being haunted. What they don't know is that it really is haunted.
Something happens when Mary's friends suggest that she has a sleepover. They plan some sneaky things without Mary knowing what they plan to do. But George, the ghost helps Mary out.
Many things are going on at the same time but I don't want to spoil the fun of this entertaining read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book even though there were several editing issues.
I look forward to reading more from this creative author.
