Bella Fire Dog
Twitching her nose,
twitching her eyes,
asleep by the fire
Bella dog lies.
Dalmatian dog
dreams of a day
long, long ago,
far, far away.
Before fire engines
make them retire
fire horse and dog
run to the fire.
Coach Dog Dick
Dalmatian Dick,
dog on the go,
runs with horses
gee up to whoa.
He’s
born to run far,
born to run fast
like coach dogs
born in the past.
They
guarded coaches
in days of old
pulled by horses
steadfast and bold
carrying people,
luggage and gold.
Nightmare Winnie
Winnie’s asleep
flat on her side
dreaming of running
round the world wide.
Twitching her tail,
twitching her ears,
twitching her legs
she bucks and she rears.
Stirring the dust
makes Winnie sneeze,
lifting her up,
she’s riding the wheeze!
