"Corny, do you really think that's a good idea?" Brutus tried to whisper, but it sounded like he had laryngitis.
"Shush Brutus; and get your hairy Labrador butt off the bed. You'll wake Steve up before I'm done putting the finishing touches on his first Valentine present." I tried to be quit and gentle as I applied the final touches. Getting Brutus to be quite was a feat all in its own. "What's not to like about vanilla ice cream, whipping cream, nuts, chocolate syrup, and a nice maraschino cherry to top it all off?" I whispered, as I placed the cherry on top the whipping cream.
"Well, for one thing you're covering Steve's dick with a chocolate sundae and like you said, he's asleep." Brutus sounded smug.

Sweet V-Day Story
As with her first story, Flamingo Blues, Ms. Kleve continues to charm readers with her Corny Myers character. Corny has the fun ability to converse with the animals. In "Be Mine," Valentine's Day is right around the corner and Corny hasn't a gift for her boyfriend, Steve, a Seattle P.D. Narcotics cop. She has no idea what to get him. Steve's drug dog, Brutus is off the job for a week after his bad behavior almost cost the narco unit an arrest. Corny and Brutus are spending his "down" time together. The banter between the two over Steve's gift if fun and cute. "Be Mine," is a perfect sweet story for the holiday.
Another short cute read from Kleve
I must say, I'm really warming to Kleve's Corny Myers character. Corny can communicate with animals, and much of what they say is laugh-out-loud funny. Haven't you always wanted to know what your bull mastiff was thinking? This is another cute short story by author Sharon Kleve.
Cute Fun Read
It's Valentines Day and Corny is going to knock it out of the park by surprising her sweetie with a weeks worth of surprises. Day one doesn't go as planned but with Brutus, a dog who speaks his mind, at her side she's bound to find the perfect gifts. Another fun, fast-paced story by Sharon which will bring smiles to your face as Corny (my Mrs. Doolittle) retrieves missing pets and really gets to know the reason of their adventures. Definitely a fun read.
