"Empty Nest" delights readers as the writer narrates his humorous experience with a whiskey-drinking pet duck that propels him into manhood.
The same struggle for indepence appears in "The Return of Lucky," when the author and his pony ply the woodland hills on a winter day in a surreptious ride to freedom. In an inspirational ending, Lucky's story offers hope to all who believe in animal Heaven.
