Git is a young dog abandoned by her former owners and searching for the puppies they drowned.  Leaving the man who rescued her, Git treks into the woods, battles raging flood waters and is captured by her former owners who see the potential to profit by trading the dog.  (The Return of Git)

Boots is a trilogy of stories about a rescued cat and his supposed cat-hating owner.  It's a rivalry that will provoke both mirth and irony when they trade insults.  Laugh along when Boots talks his way into cat heaven.  In the final episofe, Boots --- The Last Days, the author parallets his own aging process with that of the cat he has come to love.

I'm Here is the finale of the eleven short stories and a touching rendition of the author's dog, Taurus, as he rendered comfort to his guardian through his bitter divorce.  The story radiates the pain of a broken family and the consolation of the loyal canine friend that enlivened his owner's life.
