Excerpt
Wandering through the sleeping forest, Jo found herself in a clearing and sat down at the base of a large tree. So many questions raced through her mind it was beginning to give her a headache. What was this necklace? Where had it come from? Where had she come from? Did she even belong here?
“Why does everything have to be so complicated?” said Jo, to nobody in particular.
“Don’t ask me,” said a voice.
The leaves on the tree rustled in the breeze. Wait a minute, what breeze? Jo leapt up and looked at the tree she had just being leaning against, and the tree looked back at her.
