Has anyone ever made you mad? Then you have been offended. You cannot go through life without someone making you angry sooner or later. Additionally, you get angry because they have offended you in some way. You may even have some triggers that you will see; if you look back on the last few times, you were angry. Acknowledging those triggers will take you one-step closer to freedom.
Has anyone ever told you that you were not good enough? Then you have been offended. This is a common comment by parents, who might say this when they are angry with a child. The child may even be quite young. This could also come across at a job interview where the employer did not think you filled the bill, making you feel like you were not good enough.
Has your child ever sided with the other parent? Then you have been offended. If you are divorced, then chances are this has happened to you. Even if you are still married, this could have happened to you. However, with divorced parents, sooner or later, this is bound to happen. Typically, the child sides with the parent that is no longer in the household. This is very painful to the custodial parent, who usually is doing much more than the non-custodial parent is.
