Ada Uzoije has written a chilling, suspenseful, and ultimately highly entertaining story in ‘The Ghost at London Victoria Station’. As you can easily glean from the title, it’s about, well, a ghost, but what’s not obvious are the underlying meaning behind the ‘ghost’s’ appearance, and of course, Uzoije’s skillful writing as the author deftly guides you toward the much anticipated climax.
James Fisher is like any of the thousands of daily train commuters to Victoria Station—jaded, uninterested, and only desirous of getting to his destination. That is, until she meets a woman named Clara. There is something about her that seems off, but she’s friendly enough that James decides to befriend her anyway. But things happen as the book skillfully herds you toward a twist ending worthy of an M. Night Shyamalan movie. I will leave it at that.
The book is an extremely entertaining read, thanks to the author’s clever narrative and vivid depiction of the scary elements. How the supposed “ghost” is described also gave me some pretty good goose bumps—the image of that old woman feeding a baby actually made me stop and look around me, happening to read this at night with no one else in the house. Yes, it is that good.
Overall, this is a wild ride—a suspenseful book that is a lot of fun to read, especially among young readers. Fans of the genre will not be disappointed. What’s more, this would be a perfect gift to anyone who loves ghost stories—you will keep on turning the pages even if all your hairs are standing on their ends. Highly recommended!

I like reading short ghost stories.I find it easier to finish them when you can't put them down you wanna read what's on the next page this story does that so if you like ghost stories this one is awesome.

A wonderfully entertaining story which I found to be quite captivating from the start all the way through to the very end. The author has truly done a great job of making this entire story a beautiful and captivating one. I found myself falling being all into the character of James his character was quite realistic and relatable. Stories in this category does not always attract such powerful interests but this one surely has. An awesome book and wonderful work by the author for making it all so interesting, I recommend this book to everyone who loves classy story.
