In a quantum mechanical universe beyond space-time, God, in the form of three whimsical spirits, produces a parallel physical universe.
Light is the first spirit, visible because darkness surrounds it—following the Law of Opposites. The spirit of Word is energy. The spirit of Essence has everything the others have.
Adam, the creature they created, cannot contain the idea that they can be with him and also far away at the same time. They made a tangible companion for him, Eve.
Free will has infected an archangel called Lucifer. He changes his name to Satan and plans to manipulate dark matter, accelerating the expansion of space-time until energy becomes dissipated—and God is dead!
Satan convinces Adam he doesn’t need to relay to her everything God commanded about a forbidden fruit. Satan convinces Eve that God labeled the fruit as poison, meaning to call it passion fruit. She eats the fruit. Adam would rather die than live without Eve and eats the fruit. As he does, he hands over his role as Lord of the Earth to Satan.
The desire to follow God has been replaced in Adam’s offspring by a sinful nature; a genetic change in chromosome structure.
A modern example is Joe Prendergast, a Master of Science student. When this womanizing, hard-drinking skydiver is caught speeding under the influence of alcohol, his future falls into jeopardy.
Millennia later, many descendants of Eve keep Joe happy. It is a temporary solution; the original problem remains. Depressed, Joe wanders into a prayer room on campus. Danielle Duvall finds him there.
Joe tells her he doesn’t believe in God; that there’s no scientific proof. She argues for the presence of God in her heart. Dazzled by her beauty and almost convinced by her logic, he agrees to join her to hear a Navy Seal speak.
The speaker’s mention of skydiving intrigues him. Convicted by Essence, he meets the best friend a soldier could ever have: Jesus. Danielle is happy but not convinced that Satan’s battle with Joe is over.
