Exciting
I enjoy how Frailey writes multiple stories within the book and brings them all together to create one big story! I enjoyed reading the different complex relationships and seeing these relationships react with the other stories. I am not normally a fan of reading books with multiple different points of views, but each point of view was well structured and developed and this created for me an exciting adventure. I was always excited to see what the next chapter would bring!
Past meets future and the pages fly by as a result
Frailey masterfully combines a story that both looks to humanity's past and it's future, while at the same time creating a suspenseful story that is hard to put down. The emotional core of the story shows that the element that makes human beings unique has and always will stay consistent.
Transports you to another time and place!
I thoroughly enjoyed stepping into the world created by A.K. Frailey in OldEarth Aram Encounter, the first book in the OldEarth series. I love when a book transports you to another time and place. And this book did just that, taking me on journeys and through challenges with various characters through beautiful natural settings from the ancient world.
An amazing amount of work went into developing the different tribes, characters, and cultures in this story. I loved how the characters grew through their experiences and trials, and how the faith of a few humble, little characters influenced others in deep and lasting ways, as often happens in real life.
While set in the past, the human emotions and experiences speak to any generation, especially the experience of the seeking heart that longs to understand the purpose of life and the existence of the Creator.
