Dan Jackson is a 42 year old father of three who started writing kids' books about 3 months ago - a NEW author. But you'd never know it from the number of books he has produced - all of first quality.

Dan takes the stance of `I wish I were a shark' and through a brief line of print beneath a luminous photograph of a shark under water shares the various kinds of appearances he could look like. He then gives other reasons why being a shark would be fun - to scare people, to have many good looking water world friends - friends bigger and smaller than him - have people dive to photograph him, or watch him in an aquarium. He would have big shark teeth, a big tail, be able to `swim with the sharks', protect smaller sharks and teach them to swim. And on and on.

What this book does so beautifully is introduce the many aspects of sharks that are fun and beneficial and allows children to get to know animals from an animals point of view. The photographs are absolutely splendid in this book - but then the whole book is a winner! Grady Harp, April 14


Did You Ever Wish You Were Something Else
id you ever wish you were something other than who you are? I have, I wanted to be a monkey because I thought they were cute and funny. And, then I got to learn a little bit about them.

The author, Dan Jackson, tells us why he wishes he were a shark. And, while he is wishing to be a shark, we learn all about them. Sharks are big and have really big teeth. People seem to be afraid of them because they are so big. Along with all the wonderful things we learn about sharks there are really nice pictures. If you click on the picture, the picture gets larger, and you can see all the details very closely. Parents/teachers will have fun reading this book, and children will have fun looking at the pictures.

I really enjoyed this book and learning about sharks, I think you will, too.

What a cute and delightful book to read to a young child!,
This book is ideal to read to a very young child. Inside the book, the pictures are COLORFUL, LARGE and help the book tell the story! As an adult, I enjoyed viewing the large pictures and reading this book.
If you have kids, grand-kids or in any way work with young children, this is a great choice of a book to read to them!

Also, the formatting is superb, this book read wonderfully on my 7 inch tablet and also on my PC.

Highly recommend this book!
