THE DAY THE SOUND WENT OUT
In my parent’s home, God was everything. Every feeling, every impulse, every thought, every action. What is interesting to me is people tend to congregate around whatever aspect of God is most familiar to them. Holiness folks, God’s righteousness and abhorrence for sin. Pentecostals, God’s indwelling Spirit and the signs that follow. There are others but those are two I know most about. I’ve seen many a person project their ego, their upbringing, their beliefs onto different passages in the Bible. For a person who grew up in a loving and welcoming environment, the thought of God not listening, not accepting, not loving them is as foreign as hearing another language. But for folks like me who grew up with a consciousness deep in fear of his wrath, the message of God’s Love was seldom heard.

Very deep meaningful book on fulfilling potential.
The book is basically a sort read but is filled with personal insights by the author based on her life. The author uses the analogy of sound to illustrate the authentication of our lives. With some autobiographical stories , she takes us through her life and how she has found her life fulfillment. She is very down to earth and real in her words but not preachy. A short read at 108 pages but very insightful.
Life Changing
The Sound Of My Life, I must say this book for me was life changing. It helped me step out of the box and start listening to the sound of my Life. Sometime we know it's time to make a change and do something different but, we just don't know how, this book will help you do just that and more!
My life has a sound?
It is amazing that we are mesmerized by the sound of birds, roar of the ocean, trickling of a babbling brook, whispers of a breeze, beat of a new groove, awakened by the noise of voices talking, feet traveling, children running or jumping -- and yet become used to living life on mute. "Every life has a sound, a voice to be heard...a purpose to be discovered." Experiencing Suzette's rediscovery and loving embrace of her own sound, will cause you to perform a system check on what living sounds like. Suzette is real and genuine, as she shares her heart and love for the unique sound we all have. One of my favorite quotes is, "You gotta turn up the volume!" As a relatively quiet person, I had to go back and determine if I was quiet because my sound is peace or my sound is fear. Hmmm. You will laugh, you'll gasp, you'll nod your head in gratitude for this call to be. And hopefully, you'll begin to define or enhance your own sound.
