TOMBSTONE!
I had gone with my family as a fun Vacation to AZ and NM. One of our stops was the Legendary Tombstone, AZ. I honestly didn’t expect anything to happen. Well, just my luck; something did happen.
I had gone to the Bird Cage Theater, what I now know to be the Hub of all Paranormal activity for the town of Tombstone.
It was supposed to be a casual visit, but turned into so much more.
I heard things begin to move behind the bar, glasses clinking and being wiped down.
It was Curly Bill Brocious, another Cousin.
I then heard someone come up behind me.
The voice behind me was Ike Clanton. “Ma’am, can I show you a good time?”
I told him that I was with my family and I was doing just fine on my own and that I would Thank him to leave me be.
Wyatt, Morgan, Virgil Earp, with Doc Holliday came up to my right, about 100 ft. “Ma’am is Ike bothering you?”
I informed Wyatt that I had everything under control and that I would call on him if I needed assistance.
Just then, I felt an arm come around my waist and and cold Steel to my Temple, then the cocking back of the Hammer of a Gun. I Prayed everything I could think of to make it go away. It didn’t do any good.
While I was being held captive by my unseen but tangible Assailant, I heard Wyatt, Morgan, Virgil and Doc come toward me, but closer.
I heard Wyatt call out to Ike: “IKE! Drop the Gun!”
I then heard Hammers of Firearms cocking back, all pointed at my Assailant. A second time: “IKE - DROP THE DAMN GUN!”
I heard Ike then whine at Wyatt (you don’t forget that high - pitched, Nasaly voice that is Ike Clanton); “Aw, but Wyatt; I was just wanting to show the Lady a good time!”
Ike dropped the Gun and me and I ran for safety.
All I heard behind me was Gunfire on both sides.
Needless to say, back then, it did scare me.
A few minutes later, after the Gunfire had stopped, I returned to where things had just happened, trying to wrap my brain around what had just happened.
Wyatt, Morgan, Virgil and Doc came back up to me and asked my Permission to Escort me through Tombstone upon each of my visits. I consented.
I Thanked them for their kindness. From that time on, they have protected and helped me.
We have been known to clear Boardwalks and drop jaws.
I have also come to find out that the Earps and Doc Holliday are my 9th Gr. Cousins, along with the Clantons and McLaurys.
I guess I wish that my Clanton and McLaury Cousins had made a more Formal and Polite Introduction.
