They both looked down at their wet soapy hands, then at each other and suddenly he started laughing, and after a couple of seconds Olivia did too. They were still holding hands and looking at each other when he bent and kissed her.
The electricity was sudden and intense. They both pulled back in surprise.
“Wow!” Olivia and Josh stared at each other in amazement.
Josh took a deep breath and let it out in a rush. “I expected fireworks, but that was just pure fire,” he said with a slow grin. “We’d better slow down or we might just ignite something we can’t put out.”

Great new series!
I am so glad that author Kathi Daley gave us a heads up on her friends' book! I really enjoyed this book...and look forward to seeing if there will be more, a lot more. This would be a great series. It DOES say it was the first in a series, so I am very excited!
With a beautiful young woman who buys antiques for her clients and has a wonderful dog and cat as her companions, and a wonderful policeman who worked with her during a murder investigation. Love is in the air and with steamy kissing but no sex, this was a totally enjoyable book.

This book hooked my attention in the first paragraph. The setting, the dialogue and the characters in the first few chapters teased me enough that I wanted to read more. The book is skillfully written and has a cast of characters and setting that makes a reader feel at home and as if they possibly could step into the story. Add twists and turns, a little humor and it’s a winner in my book.

The perfect guy
Olivia discovers a dead body while shopping for antiques. She also discovers Josh, the hot homicide detective assigned to the case. This book is a clean, sweet romance combined with a cozy mystery, complete with cats- and a dog- who are integrated throughout the story. It reminded me of a movie you might see on the Hallmark channel ( which I love).
