What causes someone to become a child of God and have assurance of eternal life?
This book is about accepting a salvation message that proclaims if we respond to it, we will enter into a personal relationship with God, and be admitted to a better place at death.
However, in most cases what we have found is, we become busy doing this or that in the name of some supreme being and one day come to the realization that our life really hasn’t changed at all, and the place we are promised to go when our time is up, we begin to have doubts as to whether we will actually go there.
We will be introduced to four different salvation messages and come to an awareness that our eternal destiny is not based on what we do or don’t do in the name of some supreme being, but that there is one and only one supreme being who has done something for us, which if we accept what this is our life will be changed from within and this spiritual reality will provide for us verification of the future eternal life that is to come.

Is Something Missing?
Recently, I had a discussion with my daughter Renee as to, what would be the protocol for an unbeliever to have a relationship with God? And if he/she did, what would be needed in order to have fellowship with Him? I thought the answer to both questions would be rather easy to explain. However, what I soon realized was that her church had quite a different perspective as to the answers to both of these questions.
While I have my own opinion concerning what these answers would be, I am aware that there are different belief systems in this regard. Here are a few of them in respect to what constitutes a believer having a relationship with God.
An unbeliever can have a personal relationship with God if:
~ They please Him by performing good works whether it be delineated under the Mosaic Law or under a system of religion.
~ They are sprinkled with water as a baby or are immersed in water as an adult.
~ They repent (acknowledge and turn) from their sins and believe in Jesus.
~ They repent (acknowledge and turn) from their sins, believe in Jesus, are baptized in water; and perform godly works.
There is a lot to consider here. Where should I begin? Probably the first thing I should do is take a look at what constituted someone having a personal relationship with God in the different ages (the Age of the Gentiles and the Age of Israel) that occurred before the one we are currently living in now, which is called the Church Age.
While this might not be the most exciting subject to study, it is extremely important, because what we are really asking is, what constitutes salvation? What is salvation? This means different things to different faiths. Maybe we could define it this way as being the message or protocol that will cause someone to truly find God, who will change their life now it time, and provide a better place for them to reside when they die. If there is such a message or protocol wouldn’t we want to know what it is for ourselves and share it with others?
For those people who lived in the Old Testament did they find God, did he change their life, and did they go to a better place at death? Let’s find out.
