Shockey delivers on "shock"
Shockey has an eerie talent for writing stories that burrow beneath the skin. They are haunting and creepy, but in the best possible way.

Following the life of a young Jodie as she endures heartaches and tragedies, gives the reader a sense of familiarity. Shockey builds the story gradually, allowing the reader to become invested in the outcome.
Once the foundation has been laid, we are treated to a series of shocking events that take the story in a dreaded direction. Clinging to hope for the best, but fearing the worst, the story begins to manifest traits of horror. You have a sense of impending doom, but are driven to follow along with your heart in your throat. The ending will leave you gutted, shocked and troubled - which is exactly how a story in this genre should leave you feeling.

I have deliberately avoided re-telling the story, because the story is full of twists and turns that should remain unknown going into this book. Congratulations Courtney Shockey, for living up to your name and “shock”ing us with this tale of tantalizing terror of the heart.

What the H***
this book is sick, twisted, and demented and I like it! I don't know what the heck goes through Ms. Shockeys mind when she writes but I hope it keeps running in there. if your a fan of WTFs, you will love this book also.

If you are looking for twists and turns and OMG moments, this is the story for you. You will ask yourself, what the hell is Courtney thinking.

Being a new author, she is going for the shock value and she gets it. I had the chance to read this early and was blown away.

Looking forward to the next book from this rising author.
