Excerpt
It was 1973; I was platform-shoed, fringed and disconnected, tumbling headfirst into the unknown.
I was also three months away from college graduation with nothing special in mind for the future, so when RFC came to my college as part of early spring recruitment fair and asked me to apply for a management level position, I went for it. After an extensive two-month background check and the bestowing of a top-secret security clearance, I was hired by RFC before I walked across the stage and grabbed my diploma that June. I accepted the job without even bothering to find out what the acronym “RFC” stood for. They gave me no papers or pamphlets; just a sealed envelope with my name on it and marked “eyes only” with top-secret instructions on where to meet the RFC transport vehicle.
Book eight in my Belinda Lawrence Classic Mysteries. Mysteries confront amateur sleuths, Belinda Lawrence and Hazel Whitby in the Somerset village of Milford.
Among the eccentrics is the shadowy Madam Malefic.
