Sucks you in from the very first page - keeps you reading till the very last line!
HOT! Gets you hooked from the very beginning when you are wondering, "Who IS this guy," -- all the way though to the VERY satisfying conclusion. I loved the "real" characters who had "real" and very conflicting emotions. I especially loved the light and humorous touches with some laugh out loud moments.

Great book. Hope to see more from author BJ Leonard in the near future!

Funny with Some Suspense
This book starts with a bang and doesn’t ever stop. I loved the constant tension between Elan and all the characters, and how funny the dialogue was, especially with Elan and her friends. It also shows teaching realistically, none of that stuff where the kids are all little angels and the character can just say, “Open your books to page 241 and read quietly while I step out of the room and take care of this,” and the students just obey. They’re real people, with problems, just like my students.

I also loved that she got turned on by several different people at different parts of the book, for different reasons, and it always felt natural and never like she was a slut or even “wild.” It was just normal and healthy. Often in books it seems like heroines need to make excuses for feeling anything at all for anyone other than the hero. I liked that some of the feelings were just feelings, and that was fine (note: this is not ever a cheating situation, which is a totally different thing.)

This is a great book for anyone who enjoys fantasy with a healthy dose of well-written reality.

I enjoyed this book - I couldnt put it down! The story really sucks you in and you have to know what happens next! There are basically no dull moments and I really love the main character's arc (although at time she was really annoying me with her insistence to not trust anyone!) and her growth. I definitely wish I could have more!
