I am one of the victims Dr. Jackson is writing about in this much-needed book. I'm one who gets to suffer at least annually but far more than one day. My son Brian Patrick was murdered in a convenience store holdup. Every year for the past 32 years I now sit alone and try to replicate that day I lost my son. Four years ago, one of my grandsons, named Brian Joel, was murdered in his home. Again, the ritual begins. Yes, I am one of the victims Dr. Jackson is writing about in this much-needed book. I am one of those for whom there still has no feeling of justice being served – exactly as Dr. Jackson cites in case after horrific case in Equal Justice for Victims. I commend this book to all people – those who are currently victims and for those who, God bless you, someday will be.
