Entertaining Short Story
I enjoy Elizabeth Horton Newton’s writing style, it almost feels like you’re eavesdropping on a conversation. Old Habits delves into the life of a serial killer, his upbringing, and perhaps an explanation for why he was what he was.

Compelling and creepy
Well-written and compelling, reminds one of early Stephen King stories from his Nightshift collection, though a bit sprawling for a short story.

"Great things can come in small packages"
I share the passion this author has for serial killers. They are so much more fun to write about than 'white knights'.
The killer under the microscope in 'Old Habits' is Gaunt Thibideaux. Need I say more? What a fabulous name! He springs off the pages of this novella and indelibly imprints himself on your memory. You may forget your neighbour's name from time to time, but you'll never forget Gaunt Thibideaux.
Elizabeth Horton-Newton is a prolific, and wide-ranging author, who never ceases to entertain. I'm a fan, and once you have become acquainted with Gaunt Thibideaux - you will be too.
