really enjoyed this book
I downloaded this book on December 5, 2012 to be supportive of someone I know. I wasn't sure whether I would like it because I had not read anything she had written before, but I thought I'd give it a try just to see how it was and to give her feedback. I had planned on reading a little at a time, but it kept pulling me along, making me want to read more, and I ended up staying up late and reading it all in one sitting. I really enjoyed it and would love to read more by her.

A Great Paranormal Read
Sweet Mercy is a short read, but Naomi has a writing style that pulls you right in.(there were a couple of misspellings but nothing to hinder the story) It has great character development, you get to know the characters personality as well as their inner thoughts.
The whole story revolves around Team Guardian who is made up of psychics of very form, telepaths, impaths, teleporters, and the like. Team Guardian's main objective is to assist anybody, anywhere, and in any situation to keep the good from going to bad. Rachel who is a Reverse Telepath and Fluke who is a Probability Talent meet when they are called in by Team Guardian (who Rachel's brother also works for) to assist in a hostage situation. Rachel immediately fights against her instant feelings for Fluke, who can clearly "feel" her feelings as well as his own STRONG feelings for her. Can they protect all who needs it as well as themselves from the "Puppetmaster" or is he pulling all the strings??

The only thing I would of liked was more backstory leading up to why the "P-bomb" happened that set all this into action.

I would definitely recommend this book to any of the paranormal "junkies" out there.

A Delightfully Romantic Comic Book Adventure
Sweet Mercy was a entertaining fast read that reminded me why I loved reading comics as a kid. Naomi's writing is compelling and her imagery was fun, pulling me right into the story and not letting me leave until it was over. The plot flows together with the love story melding seamlessly into the framework of the overall plot. By the end I was truly rooting for Fluke and Rachel. They were both such wonderfully written characters, with chemistry that simply sizzled.

Naomi's imagination is impressive and I really liked how well she built her world around her characters. The story might have been short but at no point did I feel confused or lost despite the fact that Sweet Mercy takes place in an alternate reality with superheroes and futuristic technology.

I would recommend Sweet Mercy to anyone who wants a quick fun read. I will certainly be adding it to my list of stories to re-read.
