Customer Review

One of the best books on Shiatsu in English, November 6, 2016
By
Lucia Foltanova
This review is from: Shiatsu. Skills development: In Spa therapies framework (Kindle Edition)
This book gives a good overview of philosophy and practice of Shiatsu. It integrates practical applications with theory better than any book I have read on Shiatsu. And, it provides advice and guidelines for how to practice Shiatsu in various spa/massage settings for the best therapeutic outcome, which helps to quickly apply different routines based on the massage setting. It also goes to a bit of detail on commonly used as well as contraindicated acupressure points in Shiatsu. Perhaps, the only drawback is the lack of guidance on how to do Shiatsu stretches and realign the body in the direction of meridians.
