Humorous, satirical, graphical coming of age stories.
The King's Hat is another collection of graphical stories. They're all based on actual incidents, but altered just enough to make them anonymous. First is "The Sad Case of Annette Bunson." It's about the most pivotal of times, when the early 60's morphed into the late 60's and the teenage power structure turned upside down.
Next is "My Dream," a look into my own psyche which is (no surprise) different than everyone else's.
Last is "No Thanks for Thanksgiving." Based on an actual event, it tells the sad story of a young, spoiled girl's new boyfriend meeting her family for the first time. As a "Philosophy" major he just won't make the cut...even if he saves everyone from a horrible death.
Deputy Dave Jenkins sets out to find the murderer of the local high school principal, aided by a voice from the grave that is sometimes helpful and sometimes misleading.
"Murder isn't usually this funny."
