Julie Arduini draws you quickly into this story about a newcomer to a small town who is the new director of the senior center. She faces the distrust of old and young alike and through persistence and creative ideas slowly melts the resistance. Unfortunately, she continues to encounter a challenge from the young man who has captured her attention and her heart. The beautiful writing, descriptions and details hold your attention as you await the outcome of this inspiring romantic tale.

I enjoyed reading this story! The characters are well-written and came alive in my imagination. The setting of the story was also easy to imagine even though I've never been anywhere near the Adirondacks. Makes me want to visit someday! The struggles characters faced were things I could relate to in one way or another and I couldn't help cheering for them, laughing, crying, or sometimes wanting to shake some sense into them. I definitely want to read more!
Thoroughly Enjoyable
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about these relatable characters dealing with real issues in taking risks to find their niches. The heroine's inner self-talk was hilariously sassy. I appreciated the multi-generational relationships in which people encouraged and respected each other. I am looking forward to visiting the charming Adirondack Mountains and these delightful characters again in the rest of the series.
