Andrew Lucifer stood in front of his big bay window overlooking the entire state. Tom Narst stood behind him and behind his desk watching him levitate up and down for what seemed like ten minutes, as he smugly glared out his window. This always gave Tom the creeps, but he could never say so. To say so, would surely mean his death.
Tom’s opinion of Andrew could never be known. He felt that Andrew was a power loving maniac...a lunatic to be exact. He could never, though, allow Andrew to know what he truly thought about him.
“Tom, I need for you to go downtown and hold a live meeting.” Andrew spoke with ease.
Tom kind of jumped. Andrew spoke suddenly, jarring Tom out of his thoughts. “Yes, sir!”
Andrew continued. “But, first I need for you to collect the main attraction, Tom.”
Tom felt confused, but said nothing pertaining to that fact. “Yes, sir. The main attraction, sir.”
Andrew smiled. Tom couldn’t see it, no one could. Andrew still had his back to Tom. “Yes, Tom. The main attraction. I want you to use this main attraction in order to teach the people what impure thoughts about me, can cause. I want you to behead the main attraction, after you explain to the people how what they think about me, does not go unnoticed. You will do this for me, won’t you, Tom?”
Tom lost all the color in his face, but remained as straight-faced as he could. “Yes, sir. I will.”
Andrew’s smile broadened. He was getting giddy inside. He had yet to tell Tom who the main attraction was. “Tom, go now and call home.”
Tom was confused. “Why sir, why do I need to call home?”
Andrew almost could not hold his laughter in. “Tom, you need to make sure that your pregnant wife is still at home, doing her wifely duties.”
Tom was still confused. He instantly thought about his wife, the love of his life. She would be fixing up the nursery right now, excited about their baby coming in less than a week. “But sir, why do I need to make sure she is home?”
Andrew almost did flip flops from excitement. Tom had finally asked the right question and that would give him the opportunity to relish in his pain. “Because, Tom, she is the main attraction.”
