A Rollercoaster Ride!
Moon-Blood 1 by Carol McKibben,a spin-off from her original Snow Blood Books ,was like reading from a Rollercoaster climbing to two or three hundred feet in the air, and holding for a few seconds allowing you to look straight down at your possible demise if something goes wrong...Then whoosh: your stomach and intestines clinch and churn, yet you can't put it down. It's one of the most grabbing books I've read the last two years.

The story takes off at a breakneck speed. The good thing is this is another of Carol's Great Books. The Bad thing is it ends before you want it to. This was a shorter introduction book, and I'm guessing the next one will be longer. As with all of her books, it ends with you turning the page going No! This was a grand story full of surprises and intrigue. I enjoyed learning about McKibben’s world of human, wolf, and vampire hybrids and their extended family. The special relationship between Moon, a hybrid wolf, and her vampire uncle, Kane de Medici is at the center of the adventure and made it easy to empathize with the characters. I also appreciated how she wove current events including plans to reach Mars, Elon Musk and Space X, into this engaging story.

I literally could not put this page-turner down until I reached the end. I’m excitedly awaiting Moon Blood, part 2, later this year, and highly recommend this book and author to all my friends and family.

Excellent Vampire Thriller!
Loved Moon Blood Volume 1. I enjoyed the Snow Blood Series and was eager to read the sequel. Moon Blood did not disappoint! The last book in the Snow Blood Series left me wondering how the characters handled their life changing decision. I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it. A story of adventure, intrigue,corporate espionage told from the perspective of a vampire wolfdog, Moon Blood. It is fascinating and touching how the author, Carol McKibben, develops the relationships of the vampires (once human and dog/wolf) with humans. Some of the humans and fur were once vampires (you will need to read the Snow Blood Series to understand). Kane, Moon Blood's master, is full of charm and sex appeal; however, he is a powerful and brilliant vampire.. In the story, Kane teaches Moon Blood ( a newbie vampire) how to control her demon urges unless needed to protect good humans or her vampire/human family. Moon Blood is a challenge to Kane because she has a mind of her own! Unconditional love and loyalty to family and to the good of mankind is what drives the family of Moon Blood. Looking forward to Moon Blood 2!
