Excerpt

I can’t take this! This is ridiculous! I need to go back to New York! I can’t stand living here any longer…and wasting my time in this irrational traffic! Cibele thought as she sat behind the wheel of her metallic blue Volkswagen Passat. She had been stuck in the steamy, atrocious traffic jam on Epitácio Pessoa Avenue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for what seemed like days now. The cars were moving very slowly when they moved at all. Even though it was July, winter time in the tropical city this year was proving to be a hot and suffocating one. The winter had been unbelievably mild, reinforcing belief in an imminent global warming.

Exasperated with the heat, she rolled down the windows as she was about to enter the Rebouças tunnel, the longest tunnel in the mountainous city. She feared she would suffer a claustrophobic attack inside the tunnel. She was hot and sweaty, and she couldn’t wait to get to her apartment, which was on the other side of town. She longed to take a shower and go to bed right away, as she was suffering from a splitting headache and was not in the mood for anything else that night. She left work almost an hour ago and there was still a long way to go.

Awesome Story!!!
Fantastically written, Andrea Barbosa's Massive Black Hole is a stirring but gripping book. This fast and easy read had me flipping through the pages with intrigue; the concept engaged my interest so much that I had trouble putting it down.

I can highly recommend this book. 5 stars!

Good read!!
Massive Black Hole is one of those books that make you think. The story is about three characters, Cibele, Agatha, and Amy. Each one has her own set of flaws, which make their interactions fascinating. The dichotomy of Agatha's beauty to her personality and how each character affected the other two was well done. I like how the story progressed and love the ending.

If you're looking for a good read that engages your imagination and philosophy of life, then read Massive Black Hole!!

It draws you in!
This exceptionally well written story that has both rich descriptive language and fascinating character development. It is a deep and thought provoking read that is nevertheless fast paced and filled with unexpected twists. The characters are complex and believable. I found myself completely intrigued by the interaction between Agatha and Cibele. I could not put the book down until I found out what was going to happen to them. I highly recommend this author and will be watching for more of her work.

Reviews for "Massive Black Hole"

Reviewed by Ronald Hull 8/29/2018
You have the accolades and over 50 comments at Amazon to make this book a success. I'm not sure that I'm interested in a psychological thriller but then I haven't read it yet. Being someone who leans on the science side, I'm quite concerned about using a reference to black holes in a psychological drama. But I would have to read the book to find out if there is a correlation between the title and the subject matter.
