Excerpt
The crowds are going crazy. They are on their feet clapping and
cheering as Bella and I canter around the edge of the arena, after putting
on the most magnificent performance of our lives.
“Well done my baby. Wasn’t that just truly exhilarating”, I tell
her, grinning proudly, as I pat her neck.
I lower myself back into the saddle as I try as hard as I can to get
my breath back.
Multiple flashes nearly blind me from the numerous cameras
aimed directly at me and Bella, as we try to make our way out of the
packed arena.
“Miss Emily Pope. What a truly magnificent performance that
was. How you managed to perform the death drag to near perfection,
is totally beyond me. You are now sitting at the top of the
leader board. How are you feeling about the extreme riding final
in Deauville the week after next?” asks a reporter, who continues to
push his microphone up towards my mouth.
“We are really looking forward to it. The months of practice we
have done is finally paying off”, I grin back.
“Yours and Bella’s outfits are out of this world. May I ask who
designed them for you?” he continues.

I have fallen in love with the Bella & Emily adventures. The stories are interesting, and quite fun to read. The stories may be geared toward younger readers, but I really enjoyed them. This one was no different. I feel like I know Emily. She's a young character, but I find her to be by far older than her years. She's amazing, and so is her love and loyalty for her pony, Bella. This story is well-written and the author's love for her characters and her cause (rescue of animals) is truly seen in every word. It's a heartfelt and unpredictable story, and it brings a smile to this reader's lips. I look forward to and hope there is a week 3 coming. This is the story you read from beginning to end in one sitting, just like I did
