In an alternate timeline where violence is a cancer consuming all before it, Peter, Rose, and Alisha only want to be left alone. But they will not find peace unless they venture through the Rocky Mountains into the Lost Land and confront the horrible secrets from their pasts or overcome crippling doubts. That journey into the mountains though is fraught with deadly physical and psychological peril. Hunted by killers bent on their destruction, they become enmeshed in a plot to rain nuclear Armageddon down on the Lost Land and gain control of the United States. Faced with horrors from a past they thought they’d left behind, they must come to grips with what they have done if they are to survive and save the Lost Land from annihilation.
