"Wow, these books are big," Mira noticed, looking at the huge shelves that contained them. "Fit for a giant..." she went on aloud, fingering old covers.
"How did you think you were going to fit into one?" came a voice out of nowhere, making Mira jump. "I'm over here," it continued.
Mira turned around without any idea of what she might see.
The voice seemed to come from a shelf. "That's it, here!" A book suddenly popped halfway out of the shelf. It had two round eyes.
Its mouth popped open, saying, “I’m your book." It jumped down from the shelf and stood next to her. It was a bit taller than she.
"My book?" asked Mira. "You look too big for me to read."
The book laughed, "You don't have to read here, Missy!"
"Well then, what? Do you tell me your story?" she asked.
"No, quite the opposite: you walk inside of me. Then you tell me yours, which you will choose as you go along," he said, as the first page inside of his covers opened.
