There are those who view life as black and white, and then there are those who see all aspects of life. Life is like a crystal - when the light hits it just right, there is an array of colors that dance out of it.
However, the unforgotten, the undesired- even the hidden - they all become
Silhouettes of Life.
That which remains in the shadows of our everyday life. That love that left your heart cold and bitter; that man dressed in rags sleeping in an alley; that child who is left to wander the streets; that God who loves us that we sometimes deny... they are all Silhouettes of life.

FRIEND FOR LIFE
Through the course of time
and the wishes
of you being mine;
I found a friend to treasure
that no diamond
could compare to.
In my life,
there was always you,
and there was always us.
Though life kept us a part
I always carried
you in my heart,
and you were always there.
Maybe we were never
meant to be as one,
but there were the times,
we made an exception.
Our lives have
traveled separate roads,
but somehow we always
found one another,
and I found
we'd be friends forever.

PLAY MY GAMES . . . IF YOU WILL
Play you say,
play I will.
Play on the grounds
of no fair play.
In these games,
there are no rules.
On the day these games end
you will remember my name.
You title yourself master
I title myself queen.
I own these games
making me the master.
Play I say,
play if you will.
Remember though
I created these games.
DOUBT
If I close my eyes,
will you disappear?
There's a feeling
dwelling so unclear.
I want to say the words,
but would they be true?
Being unsure,
how can I say I love you?
You speak the word
so easily,
when you say
you love me.
In your arms
I feel safe and secure,
but love is a feeling
that leaves me unsure.
You ask,
could I ever love you.
Yes, easily if only
my logic had a clue.
All the basics are there,
your gentleness, sincerity,
and the way you care.
How can I not speak the word
that I know my heart
has already heard?
Time is an essence
to this emotion,
or it might fade
like waves on the ocean.
