Bath time isn't so bad
This cute adventure follows Colin the baby bear as he discovers that when your mama warns you about something, you had best listen! A bath doesn't seem like fun, but when Colin pulls the plug and gets whisked down the drain and to an entirely new place, he's in for a bath like no other! Maybe baths can be fun, and they aren't that terrible after all?
This is a fun book that young children will enjoy, especially if they don't like taking baths. The catchy rhyme scheme would make it a great book to be read aloud during story time, or for kids to read by themselves. Kids are sure to enjoy this fun bath adventure!

What a Bath!
Mama put Colin in the tub for his bath. He played with his boots and washed a toe or two. His Mama could not expect more than that from him because he was a little bear. She told him not to pull the plug and warned him that he would go down the drain along with all the water if he did so. Colin pulled the plug and he went down the drain like a bug. The creatures in the pipe were surprised to see Colin whirling past them. Colin did not know how to swim but he thought he would try. He knew the end was soon when he saw sunshine around the bend. When he arrived, he was in London and Colin wanted to see more of the place because he had never been to London before. As he walked around, his toe grazed on a plug and he pulled it. His foot went down the drain and when he woke up with a start, he was sitting on his bed. Colin decided that the next time he went for his bath, he would take a trip to France.
What a Bath! by Dawn Doig is a delightful story that will make children curious to travel to new places. The illustrations by the author and her words are fun and children will love watching Colin go through the pipe and get out of it in London. It is a good bedtime storybook for parents to read out loud to their children and it can be used in classrooms and school libraries for read-aloud and storytelling sessions.
