Excerpt
Jellibean woke to the sounds of the possum family, preparing to leave in search of food. She was thankful they had let her spend the night. After packing her things, she hugged each one goodbye. Stepping into the sunlight and decided that today would be a great day!
She set out on the dirt path, wondering what the day would bring. Thinking about home, she smiled. She had traveled a long way from those castle walls but had so much more of the world to see!
She was lost in memories of her fun royal childhood when she heard a familiar sound behind her. Turning, she a big red bird flying toward her. “Hi, Sydney!” Jellibean waved and called to her friend.
“Hello, Jellibean! Where are you going today?” asked Sydney, landing in her wagon on a large book.
“I don’t know yet. Any ideas?” inquired Jellibean.
Sydney looked at her and tilted his head in thought before replying,
“Well, I don’t know, but maybe we’ll go there together!”
