Through her nightmares, Abby witnesses the murder of the previous owner of her ring. And she is compelled to solve the homicide believed by all to be a botched burglary. However, soon her own life is in jeopardy when, like the woman in her dreams, Abby gets in the way of the killer's evil plot.
Excerpt
After several restless minutes, "Abby the good dreamer" picked up right where she had left off...
Colleen huddled under the afghan, her lips moving in silent, frenetic prayer as the beam of the flashlight came near. "Our Father, who art in Heaven..." He shined the light over the TV and VCR, finally resting the flashlight on a bookshelf. His gloved hands walked the length of the VCR cord, toward the mound under the afghan. "Hallowed be thy name." Colleen's eyes were riveted to his hands...
He tugged and pulled at the VCR plug in the wall. Colleen arched her back, aware that she was obstructing the outlet behind her. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done..." The cord swatted her lower back as he tugged hard. A ringing phone broke the stillness. He jumped.
Thankfully, Colleen did not.
He fumbled for the cell phone in his pocket. "Are you outta your friggin' mind callin' me here? Yeah, I'm in the house now. No, she's not here--the place is like a morgue." He rested his gloved hand atop the TV.
Why was the TV warm?
Colleen squeezed her eyes shut. "...on Earth as it is in Heaven..." Where was the siren?
"Ya know...maybe you should be takin' care of this your own self--"
There it was! The shrill wail of a siren cutting through the chill of night...
He shoved the phone into his pocket and yanked hard on the cord. It gave way, and he fell backwards, bumping the bookshelf and knocking the flashlight to the floor. The beam was shining on the mound under the afghan.
He pulled it off, revealing Colleen's hiding place. "Well, well," he taunted. "Look what we have here." He scooped up the flashlight and shined it into her eyes.
Abby woke to the sound of her own screaming. She slipped the ring off her finger and flung it across the room like a snake that had just bitten her. Abby sat up in bed, gasping. "Oh my God."

Six straight men in the cast plus free Tex-Mex food? My friend Lida Rose sure knew how to persuade me. I signed on the dotted line and dusted off my dance shoes. I knew Bad Business on the Brazos would have them rolling in the aisles and standing up
