In "Angels" a new slant on life is seen through the eyes of several angels as they become involved in the real life events in that very small place called "earth."
Andrew Brown, a very poor and underprivileged black lad struggles with the demands of life and insists on finding something better. His immediate goals are fulfilled after a long journey, by becoming the mature, full-time ordained pastor of a "large all-white church up North." Satisfaction of his deeper goals are harder to recognize and extend to an immeasurable dimension.
Without really being aware of it Andrew assists angels to reach a "worldly wise" old hippie and help him find the "real thing." Involved in this "real thing" business is a beautiful gal - an Earth angel - named Ann. And she's a lawyer!

"Ah, the beauties of this world are a wonderful thing to observe.
"Yes, they certainly are. I have noticed the union of our Ann and Paul, and the Browns, whom we observed on earth some time ago, that is many revolutions of their planet ago. That time of course is meaningless here. But what a beautiful thing it has become. And it all started during their earth experience, and is still growing, even after expanding to the wonderful position it is now. Their earth growth and their acceptance of greater things there has given them their start here. Their love has out lasted the trivial problems they had on earth so long ago. Strange how people going through earth experience seem so saddened - even destroyed emotionally by some event in the earth time. But that is the way it must be. So the earth experience will seem real at the time."
