The werewolf’s mouth twitched and then it began talking again. It told me – no, it gloated--about how it had done away with Larry, Glenn and his dog, Ladd. It bragged about killing the wino in the alley. Killing Leon Brown. The kids at the cove. Frank. The son of a bitch sounded as though it thought it deserved the fucking medal-of-honor for what it had done.
It even confirmed the story Jim had told me.
I listened in amazement…awe… and anger.
“You didn’t…” I began.
The werewolf cut me off abruptly with a throaty growl and a blast of its hot, repugnant breath.
My meter had expired.
My life was about to do the same

NightWalker
I just finished reading Mr. Honaker's horror novel 'Night Walker'. Its
fast-pace and surprising ending leaves me wanting more. That's not to say
the novel itself left me unfulfilled, it didn't - I simply hated to see it
end.
Mr. Honaker has a lot to offer the horror genre with his writing; however,
he needs to hone his skills just a little more. He's a fine writer now, but
I believe he can be a great one. His style reminds me somewhat of Stephen
King's. That's not to say I will sit here today and compare Honaker to
King. There is no comparison (Stephen King is the best there is and the
best there will ever be in this genre), but I will say this (I give credit
when and where due): Honaker is a good writer in his own way, and I can
only hope I will see more of his work in print. I look forward to reading
another novel by this new and talented author. I thoroughly enjoyed reading
Night Walker and I just loved 'Butch' (reminds me of my younger brother).
Mr. King - you have nothing to fear from this newcomer, but to some in this
genre. carefully look over your shoulder on occasion, because Mr. Honaker
is creeping up on you. The literary path sometimes gets crowded and some
writers stumble along its cutthroat and demanding path. I believe Mr.
Honaker has a very firm foothold on his literary path. With very minimal
effort this author is going to be one of the better ones. I look forward to
seeing more of him.
