Myron Siegel opened his eyes and gazed upon a new morning, vaguely aware that his left wing hurt. No problem. It would be better he got some circulation back into it. He always slept on one arm. He paused for a moment. Arm! Wing! Something seemed wrong.
He closed his eyes, lay still and then re-opened them. Slowly, qute slowly, he lifted his left...appendage. He wasn't prepared for any snap decisions. He looked at it.
It was relatively short, covered with feathers, and definitely did not look like an arm...
