Screaming no more
Moving on, realigning my facial muscles
Into expressions of joy
Leaving manipulative ploys
Evicting unhealthy toys.
Solar reflections of ivory colored bone
Molecularly reminiscent of an
Invisible individual who
Left behind half of his
Essence.
Sorrowful no longer
Mindful of the future that
Invariably sleeps beside me
Leavening my mood cause
Eternity has a new face.

Excerpt from To the Father of my Son
I remember how nervous you were
when you came back to the hospital
and told me you ran over a dog.
I laughed as i watched you try
to figure out the hospital blues
because even though we were not together
and the unity didn't outlast the hospital stay
you were still the one
i wanted in the delivery room with me.
