Jay Dubya book #64, Parody Paradise is adult satire that lampoons 30 popular stories and plays written by world famous authors.

Parody Paradise is a compilation of twenty-nine rewritten satirical short stories and plays from famous authors, featuring adult language and situations. Author Jay Dubya equally sideswipes (parity/parody) and lampoons popular and classic stories authored by Edgar Allan Poe, Jack London, O. Henry, Mark Twain, and Nathaniel Hawthorne. Other authors’ works that are lambasted and thoroughly corrupted are James Thurber, Washington Irving, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Miguel Cervantes, and also several William Shakespeare plays are also savagely brutalized.
Parody Paradise is Jay Dubya’s 64th published book. Besides Adult Satire, the prolific author writes in seven other separate genres: Action/Adventure Novels, Non-Fiction Books, Mythology, Science-Fiction, Detective Stories, Paranormal Short Stories, and Young Adult Fantasy Novels.

Parody Paradise is one fourth of a four-part series, the other three titles being Parody Paradise, Part II, Parody Paradise , Part III, and Parody Paradise, Part IV. All 4 titles are available online at Walmart, at Barnes and Noble, at Books-a-Million, at Amazon, and at other popular Internet buying portals.

Excerpt
“I strongly advise you to believe nothing that you hear," Mr. Poe, "and only half of what you see, in regard to you assessing the avant-garde Maison de Sante. Whatever you do,” the rather strange superintendent cautioned me, “don’t be misled by the false teachings of those medical ignoramuses over in Paris! Now then; I’ll show you the gardens and the conservatories, and next we’ll have a delicious dinner after six.”
“Mr. Maillard, where the hell are your patients?” I inquired. “I haven’t seen one of them since I’ve been here.”
“Oh, they’re meandering around here, somewhere,” the chief administrator obtusely answered. “I’m sure they’re hiding from us somewhere in the dense outside foliage, or perhaps playing Hide and Seek behind sofas and chairs, just to break our stones!”
And before I could explore the next uncultivated garden and weed area, I heard around twenty zany voices all zestfully yelling-out in unison, “Cock-a-doodle-doo!” in a queer dissonant cacophony, sounding much like some sort of out-of-control, lunatic, community chicken coop.

Miriam Smith:

I write in 8 genres, so I'll relate my comments to the 4 Part Parody Paradise adult satire series to which you have cited. I had been an English teacher from 1965-1999. During my career, I had often studied with my classes short stories by Poe, Jack London, Mark Twain, O. Henry, Hawthorne and many other classic authors. I often imagined how I would satirize those authors' stories when I retired. I waited until after my New Jersey pension had cleared, because I feared that my adult satire re-writes would be challenged by the pension fund board, since teachers in my district back in 1965 had to sign a Moral Turpitude contract upon being hired. After my pension cleared, I began publishing my 75 hardcover and paperback books, which I had begun authoring back in 1970. My formula for success was: Quality + Quantity in multiple genres = Eventual Sales Recogniton.

Best,
John Wiessner, J.W.

Hey Jay Dubya, hope you're having a great week! I've been following your work for a bit now and honestly, your latest pieces have been amazing. The way you hook the reader is great. Quick question for you: do you have a specific routine that helps you get into the creative zone, or do you just write whenever inspiration strikes?
